The symposium on "Tackling AMR: How Implementation Research is Vital in a One Health Approach" was held as part of The Global Health Network Conference 2022. The event focused on AMR in the context of human, animal, and environmental health. A total of 310 individuals from 61 countries registered for the symposium. Among them, 176 registered to attend in person, while 142 opted for remote attendance. After removing duplicates, 155 individuals attended the symposium, with 96 attending in person and 59 joining remotely via Zoom.

The attendees represented a diverse range of countries, with participants from 24 countries present at the in-person sessions and 17 countries represented in the online sessions. The majority of attendees were from Africa, comprising 71.6% of registrants, followed by individuals from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) accounting for 90.3% of registrations.

The symposium's sessions consisted of lightning presentations, breakout activities, and a wider stakeholder consultation for the One Health Priority Research Agenda. Through these interactive sessions, participants shared their expertise, discussed challenges and opportunities, and identified priorities for research and implementation in tackling AMR within a One Health framework.
